Over the past month or so I've been testing a new SEO plugin for WordPress. This particular plugin is probably one of the only genuine contenders for competing with Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin.
TheΒ Premium SEO PackΒ (Disclaimer:Β this is an affiliate link)Β has a number of pretty cool features that I've been really impressed with. On top of doing all of the standard post title/meta formatting and canonical linking, etc. there are a load of extra social and link building features. Here's a summary of some of the features the plugin offers:
- On page optimisation
- SERP Keyword Rank Tracking
- 404 Monitor
- W3C Validator
- Directory submitter (mass)
- Sitemap creator (including video and image)
- Page speed testing/reporting
- Google Analytics setup and monitoring with custom dashboard
- SEO friendly image formatter
- Smush.it image compressor
- Rich snippet formatting
- Social share tracking
- Facebook post planner (auto post to FB)
- Twitter cards
Here's the full video review for you to check it out for yourself π
Looks like a pretty badass plugin ^.^ Grabbing this now π Gotta love CodeCanyon aye Matt π
Also, your intro (if you’re still using Camtasia) you can fit to your video’s frame, so it doesn’t have that horrendous black box around it π
I am glad you love CodeCanyon Charles π .. I would love to hear you thoughts on the plugin once you give it a spin π
Yeah, it’s a great plugin. Also, on the note of my videos… I know – I need to sort out an intro that’s 1080p instead of 720p, but I’m feeling particularly lazy around this right now! Will sort it soon.
Thanks for the detailed review about one of our plugins Matt π
Looking forward to this plugins…. Really looks great!
Hi Matthew – I’m pretty fed up with the Yoast plugin for a lot of reasons, so looking for alternatives I ran across this post. It looks okay from the video, but I can see by your source code that you’er back to using Yoast. huh?
Did this plugin fall short and not meet your needs?
I still use Yoast’s plugin on this blog mainly because I haven’t gotten around to moving over – I actually use this plugin on a couple of my other sites and it’s great. They’ve released a load of extra features so I will be publishing a whole new tutorial soon π
It seems to be a good pack. But there is sometimes a problem with the wordpress plugins. In fact, it depends on the theme used, some plugin are not working on a theme (ex kippis), but are ok on other one (a 2 column theme, as exemple).
Of course I believe all these could be efficient for improving SEO, but a must, is to not forget the basic seo stuff, I mean some unique and quality text content, as explained here: http://simple-seo-tutorial.com/links.php ( I agree ) a good explication of the simple and efficient way of writing, posting, and linking. It’s a “must do” at first, and then, this wordpress seo pack will do the rest for boosting the site ranking.
By the way, thanks for this useful post, I’ll look to improve my wordpress site with that.
Hi. You don’t seem very enthusiastic about the Backlink Builder. At least, you say you won’t be using it. Could you tell us why ? Thanks
I tend to stay away from automated link building tools. I prefer to have control over the placement of links to my website; hence why I wouldn’t necessarily use it on my blog. Having said that, it does have some good directories in there that you could submit to as a business website.
